SUMMER CONFERENCE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN, INCLUDING COMPETITION FOR BURSARIES FOR NON-FUNDED STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE CONFERENCE!!

Please click here to register your attendance at the SeNSS Summer Conference, which will take place from 2 to 4 July 2018, at the University of Kent. If you are a SeNSS ESRC-funded student, please book your travel tickets as soon as possible, and SeNSS will reimburse your travel costs, in line with its travel policy.

 

Due to the popularity of the SeNSS conference bursary scheme, SeNSS is offering 10 additional bursaries for non-ESRC funded students to attend the Conference. These bursaries will cover conference entry, as well as travel and accommodation costs. To award these bursaries, SeNSS is holding a competition: to enter this competition, please complete this application form, including telling us why you want to attend the conference. Please email your form to trainingmanager@senss-dtp.ac.uk by 16.00 on 15th June 2018. Successful applicants will be notified by email by 18th June 2018, and will then need to register for the Conference by 21st June 2018.

  • Keynote academic talks, including a panel discussion on European political challenges
  • Pathway-specific training sessions
  • SeNSS Student Forum elections
  • Poster competition 
  • Talks on How to keep on top of your PhD, and What to do after your PhD

This event will bring together doctoral students and academics across the range of social sciences for talks, training and competitions. This event is primarily intended to showcase the excellence of our students (via our competitions), to hear talks on issues relevant across the disciplines, and to provide an opportunity for disciplinary and interdisciplinary networking.  

There will also be plenty of time to socialise, and get to know each other, including a wine reception and buffet dinner on the first night, and a BBQ followed by punting on the River Stour on the second night, .
